About
Komorebi is a Japanese restaurant in Nuanu, Bali, where Japanese culinary techniques meet local Indonesian ingredients. The name Komorebi (木漏れ日) describes sunlight filtering through the leaves of trees. This natural phenomenon became the starting point for the restaurant's visual identity. We developed a brand identity built around the interaction of light, nature, and structure. The logo combines delicate typography with circular elements inspired by the optical effects of filtered sunlight. A restrained visual language reflects the restaurant's approach to cooking, where precision and simplicity allow the ingredients to take center stage. The resulting brand guidelines bring these elements together into a consistent visual system, connecting the restaurant's philosophy with its graphic identity.
